Riding Arizona

Highly cultural week:
We decided to drop the low end idleness and raise a little our mind and culture. So here we are in Tucson to see children trying to stay the longer they can on the back of a sheep in order to learn rodeo (mean 1½ seconds) … Indeed here is the “los festival Vaqueros “, the largest outdoor rodeo festival in USA. Waw.
In the middle of the cowboys we look crazy with our bikes, and under the arizonian sun they all tan, we blush. But that’s the price to pay to make intellectual discoveries: Did you know that there were several disciplines in rodeo and that you could also ride bulls? (Mean 4 seconds and a half).
Bah we will beback less stupid (and a little more red).

Otherwise we slept in empty corners but deserted paradise, we took a piece of the legendary Route 66, which is amazing: there bitumen and petrol stations, amazing isn’t it?

We stay a few days in Tucson which looks very nice and conducive to bicycle touring rides (bike paths everywhere, lessons to take by France) with the surroundings in the beautiful desert and a boho-artist downtown San Francisco reminiscent Mexican architecture version. We met Nicole and her wonderful, warm house where we parked the tank!
