After riding so much in the heat, especially a day we biked more than 100 kilometers, we decided to take the Lao rythm:
Before going to bed, nothing like a nap. strong> blockquote>
We are not far from the Cambodian border and therefore we are in Si Phan Don (4000 Islands) along the Mekong to relax properly and take quiet time before long distance rides …
Driss celebrated his 3rd birthday on an elephant back, to tell this to his friends when he will get back and played Indiana Drissou in the beautiful khmer site of Wat Phu.
We are in a tourist area, and Driss often encounter “people who talk like us!” that’s how we met Patrice & Nath who are travelling across the Southeast Asia on a motorcycle, and a happy french family that take good lao times for 2 months.
Meeting Lao people allows us to understand rice culture, and that between 2 laotian naps you have to drink with friends playing guitar.
As a conclusion: between two crossings of the Mekong we do not do much and it feels good!http://www.aucoindelaroue.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/2014-10-16-08-3.kmlhttp://www.aucoindelaroue.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/2014-10-17-07-4.kmlhttp://www.aucoindelaroue.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/2014-10-19-07-4.kmlhttp://www.aucoindelaroue.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/2014-10-21-07-4.kml
