There is rabbits in Laos! similar as europeans but really bigger and they spend their days lazing on the roadside.
Which does not disorient us either, is the famous “wind in the face” that accompanies us sometimes since we left France more than 4 months ago. It was with us along Road 13 that we took several days to get to Pakse, the capital of Champasak province in southern Laos.
It is also notable that the roosters have the same cry than in France: a big cry, preferably around 3am (here roosters should be afraid of sunstroke so they sing BEFORE the sun rises).
Charming animals, evidence that nature take a good care of us.
Apart from these small moments of fullness, we met a family who ran a guesthouse in the middle of what could be called “nowhere” along the road 13, and Driss fell in love with the small Poeu 2 years his senior. We spent a very pleasant evening to communicate somehow with her big sisters Viet and Mai …
Meetings wherever they occur are definitely the highlights of the trip!
